Recently, I have made the discovery that the less stuff I have the more I can enjoy it. First, I can FIND it. Second, it isn’t buried behind a bunch of junk. Third, I don’t spend all my time moving and reorganizing it.
For some of you, this is probably a no-brainer. Either way, though, I will be sharing two 10-minute tasks a week to purge & simplify.
In January, each of the tasks will be purging items in your closet.
Your first purge task is your scarves. This isn’t the winter scarves, but the everyday scarves in your closet.
Go through your scarves and get rid of 1/2 of them (unless you have 2 or less!). Get rid of any that are too big or itchy, the wrong color, in poor shape, or that you just plain won’t miss. Donate, sell or consign them, but get them out of the house!
If you don’t have any, pick something else or take the day off.
