Pop-Up campers, if you’ve never had one, are kind of tricky.  Because they fold down so completely, everything you have in there must either collapse or fit in one of the few storage cubbies around your feet.   With our old camper, I just had tons of drawer towers for long term living, but I can’t do that in the pop-up.

After we returned from three weeks living in our new-to-us pop-up, I started looking for pop up camper hacks to make it easier to use.   I found this tip which TRIPLES the storage space in your pop-up camper:

Use the clothes hanger bar to hold one (or two) of those hanging closet cubbies.   I bought a normal sized one and a shoe sized one and they fit side by side and collapse into an envelope when stored.  Score!

On our first camping trip this season, we had used the shoe caddy for things like cell phones, keys, wallets, diapers/wipes, sunscreen, etc.   The large one, we used a slot per person for in-transit clothes — pj’s during the day, your clothes while you were swimming, etc.   I’ll let you know how we best use them as we camp more this summer.

Enjoy!

Where do you get the clothes hanger bar and did you screw it onto the ceiling?

The clothes hanger bar came with the camper. It was mounted to the ceiling & is flat when stowed away.
