By now you have your Christmas shopping done, right?   You don’t?   Well, me neither.  The KIDS are finished but everyone else?  Not even close.  I was close but then missed the deal before it sold out.   I also suggested having a place to keep track of your holiday season with a Christmas binder and think about any Christmas projects you’d like to do.

This months Catholic Christmas Countdown is going to be about two things.  First, I’m going to talk a little about family pictures.   Every year, we do a family picture and I try to schedule the appointment for around mid-November.    Last year, I shared 10 Tips for Making Family Photos Bearable that includes a packing list of things to remember to take to the photo shoot itself.   If you’ve never done a family picture, maybe this is the year to do it!   I love looking at how everyone changes over the years and my girls do, too.

Second, start thinking about Thanksgiving.  If you host (or have your own) Thanksgiving, this is a great time to figure out your menu and get shopping lists together.   Since you have so much time to spare, you could also figure out if you wanted to have special decorations, tablescaping, or kids crafts/projects as well.

What are your Thanksgiving traditions?
