In order to mix up our reading each month, I have a list of different topics that we cover each month as part of “school” for our little ones who like to be included. For Tots & PreK, school consists mostly of reading lots of books, play with manipulatives, and maybe some printable packs related to things we are reading about. Low stress, low planning, but high in fun.
It’s a simple list with just topics & common holidays so there is no stress about having or not having a certain title. The list also covers many of the common topics that small children and preschoolers should learn about. I kept December super light because I figured with all the Christmas festivities, not much else would be going on.
