While we actually started school at the beginning of August, we started slow and did mostly an online curriculum that I’m reviewing next week.
This week was titled A is for All At Once because we started our regular curriculum AND I went back to work AND I tried to get back on a housekeeping routine ALL AT ONCE. I know, insanity, right?
We started Tot School with Itty Bitty this week and she did much more than I anticipated:
Itty Bitty did lots of A activities, but I didn’t take pics of all. Many of them were from LOTW & 3 Dinosaurs. You can find them on my Pinterest boards for homeschool. The tangrams were a fail, but she liked the rest & did much better than I anticipated! We also read books from the Flowering Baby list.
With Lil’ Bit, we did good on sticking to the 4 R’s (reading, writing, ‘rithmatic & religion/bible) + science. We’ve ACTUALLY used Bible Study for All Ages, Our Heavenly Father – Ch 6, Logic of English Foundations A, Saxon 1, First Language Lessons, & a cool curriculum I found where a woman found everything needed to use The Magic School Bus DVD’s (will add link later).
We also took a nature walk with several other homeschool moms this afternoon, which they loved.
Next week, I’m hoping to add geography & will get out Little Passports before we start our first break. It actually spans part of two separate weeks as we get ready for my brothers wedding. All 3 of the kiddos are in it :).
