We started trying to do some preschool for what feels like the 40th time with Lil’ Bit who is now 3. Last week pretty much went to the dogs. We are taking two weeks to do a weeks worth of “work” as we try to find out where we fit things into our day with energy levels, baby, and ability to focus.

Religion

So far, we are doing Catechism discussions while eating breakfast and are talking about creation, using My First Catholic Bible and Who Am I? (CHC).

“Reading & Math”

Books are read during Itty Bitty’s mid morning nap. This week our focus is the letter A & the number 1, as well as counting to 10.  We’ve been using the AlphaTales books as well as The Sesame Street Library & Sesame Street Treasury (all purchased off eBay).

Art & Music

We listen to Making Music Praying Twice & our composer of the month while playing independently. We also read about our artist of the month once as well.

“Projects”

In our house, all fun/educational PLANNED activities are called projects :).  We usually do these after lunch…when Itty Bitty naps.  We’ve been making valentines for grandmas & grandpas & godparents for about a week.   I forgot to take pictures because I wanted to make sure we got them in the mail.  Blah.

We also made the angel from Catholic Icing.

And the Our Lady of Lourdes grotto from Catholic Icing as well :).

We also used some prewriting worksheets from Confessions of a Homeschooler and some workbooks we had.
