Ughh. I didn’t do nearly as well as I’d liked. I don’t think I’m going to be able to continue this challenge. July is just a really bad time. It’s the month of the year where we do most of our “entertaining” and it’s finally starting to feel like summer. There have been a lot of impromptu BBQ’s — grilling supplies, beer, bbq stuff. I had hoped to use our freezer & pantry but there just isn’t much of that kind of stuff there.
I’m also going to have to drop the All You Grocery Challenge for the same reason. We FINALLY got a babysitter — first time in a Loooong time and we spent $50 at dinner, including a beer for a friend of ours who happened to come in. I don’t feel like I can or should stilfle Bones’ generosity or his need to socialize (one i don’t possess). We aren’t spending a TON, but it is a littler higher this month. And we’re visiting my family soon and it’s my birthday soon, too.
I guess what I’m saying is that I’m not going to stress myself out and annoy DH with all that stuff this month. It’s summer and we will have plenty of time to be frugal when the snow starts flying. Besides, now I can blog about the awesome strawberry deal I got today :).
