I have some more cool things to share with you this week.
First, if you are a coupon queen (I sometimes am), you can see what coupons are going to be in this weekends paper! Just go to Sunday Coupon Preview.com or click on the icon above.
There are also some new coupons posted online this week:
I have a handful of great daily deal sites for you this week! I’ve gotten fabulous deals on all of them & they are great sources for finding Christmas presents that are elegant AND inexpensive!
First up:
Zulily is a great site selling toys, clothing & anything else you can think of for mom & baby. I bought an awesome nursing dress there on the CHEAP. Like 1/2 off, cheap. And nursing dresses are upwards of $100 (usually). Their sales run for 72 hours and then they are gone.
jasmere is another fabulous deal site. Every day, they feature a unique, upscale product or website — designer jeans, gourmet foods, handmade jewelry and much more. The best part? As more people buy, the price keeps going down. No credit cards are charged until the feature ends, and everyone pays the same low price! And you get $10 for everyone you refer!
Eversave is another daily deals site for places right in your backyard! They have a local and/or national deal every day. You aren’t limited to the deals in your location, either. You can buy a deal from any city. And eversave pays out $12.00 per referral. Pretty nice, eh?
So go ahead and check them out! And if you sign up, I’d appreciate if you used the links above. They help me keep the site going . Thanks for sticking with me!
I’ve tried the normal coupon route and it just doesn’t work for me. It requires a lot of time and organization and my local paper stinks and the nearest metro one quit having the good coupon fliers in it. I don’t completely write off coupons & discounts, though, I just look for EASY ones.
My FAVORITE source, besides online printables, is VocalPoint! This is the BEST group like this that I have ever joined. I haven’t had to pay for cereal in months. The first item I got through them included a free box of Rice Krispies and 5! $1/1 Rice Krispie coupons. I got 6 boxes practically free when I combined them with this sale. Then I got a sample of Kashi Honey Sunshine with a coupon for a free box and 5 or 6 coupons for $1.50/1 (I think). Either way, I paired them with a sale at Target and got 4 boxes for less than $1.00. I got a coupons for a Bounce dryer bar and when I combined that with a clearanced item at Meijer’s last week, I paid $1.00 for it. Recently, I got bunch of high value Kashi GoLean Crunch coupons. Not convinced? Well then, I don’t know what to tell you.
I’m sure you’ve probably heard about SwagBucks by now. They are real, they are legit and you can even earn things without having a billion referrals. I’ve gotten at least $20 in Amazon gift cards without having ANY referrals, just use their search function. So you can get stuff without a ton of effort. Haven’t signed up yet? Sign up below . Last I knew, you got 3 SwagBucks just for joining!
My last favorite site is Cashbaq.com. I do a lot of shopping online because, frankly, shopping for anything other than groceries with Lil Bit is not very easy or enjoyable. Especially for clothing. And I buy most of my books online, too. There are other comparable sites (ebates, etc.), but they are all pretty similar. With this site, you get $5.00 just for signing up and then you earn a percentage (varies by store) of all the purchases that you make through them. They have TONS of stores, even ones you’ve never heard of! And best of all, you don’t need to earn a bunch to get paid. You need a minimum of $10 and they will pay you via PayPal! It’s not instant earnings; it takes about 3 months for the money to be approved after purchase (to allow time for returns and such). But still! I have almost $20 for buying some new clothes and I’ll have it in time to go Christmas shopping! Again, that is just my purchases (no referrals). You can earn more by having referrals but it’s another quick and easy way to save. You can help me out by signing up through my referral link too (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
Anyway, these are great ways to earn money and get coupons without a lot of effort on your part. Do you have any low maintenance, low time investment tips? Leave a comment and share!
Ughh. I didn’t do nearly as well as I’d liked. I don’t think I’m going to be able to continue this challenge. July is just a really bad time. It’s the month of the year where we do most of our “entertaining” and it’s finally starting to feel like summer. There have been a lot of impromptu BBQ’s — grilling supplies, beer, bbq stuff. I had hoped to use our freezer & pantry but there just isn’t much of that kind of stuff there.
I’m also going to have to drop the All You Grocery Challenge for the same reason. We FINALLY got a babysitter — first time in a Loooong time and we spent $50 at dinner, including a beer for a friend of ours who happened to come in. I don’t feel like I can or should stilfle Bones’ generosity or his need to socialize (one i don’t possess). We aren’t spending a TON, but it is a littler higher this month. And we’re visiting my family soon and it’s my birthday soon, too.
I guess what I’m saying is that I’m not going to stress myself out and annoy DH with all that stuff this month. It’s summer and we will have plenty of time to be frugal when the snow starts flying. Besides, now I can blog about the awesome strawberry deal I got today .
We knew that the 4th and the festival were this weekend so we figured we’d spend more this week and a half than in the last 2-1/2 weeks.
July 1 – none
July 2 – spent: $55.96 left: $344.04
Groceries – $50.47–(all basics and stock ups…no treats unless you count the cinnamon roll raincheck I used
Misc – $5.49 — thread for Bones’ pants
Incidentally, we also picked that night to return some clothes that we’ve been meaning to return. I got $19.29 from Kohl’s and $70.23 and change from Old Navy. I still need to return the two expensive shirts from the Gap.
July 3 – spent: $31.64 left: $312.40
groceries – $13.46
yard stuff – $8.18 — needed more mulch to fill in garden after we laid the free paving stones leftover from our best friends patio. Thank you!!! We also bought a bag of rocks to put where all the roof lines drain their water in the FRONT corner of our house.
snacks at baseball game – $10
July 4 – spent: $6.00 left: $306.40
beer for party at friends – $6.00
July 5 – spent: $8.00 left:$298.40
festival food – $8.00
July 6 – spent: $86.37 left: $212.03
dishwashing detergent (K-mart $2 super doubles) – $27.65
yard (rocks) – $3.71
gas (van) – $55.01
July 7 – spent: $10.72 left: $201.31
festival food – $7.00
groceries – $3.72
Brought home $1.59 from the consignment shop.
A little worse than i thought we’d do, but our friends who run the meat wagon have been SUPER generous in feeding us and so we’ve rarely paid for the multitudes of food eaten. We owe them a few desserts and a bbq so the kids can get together and play. I like those kinds of deals .
