I am a gift giver. It’s one of my love languages. I really dislike having a ton of clutter and toys all over the house and yard though. In order to cut down on junk, I’ve come up with a few ideas for outdoor themed Easter baskets.
Outdoor Play
- galoshes
- raincoats
- umbrellas
A rain gear Easter basket is much anticipated by my little ones. Each year they have gotten a raincoat & galoshes. A new umbrella, a rain hat, a water-resistant backpack or other similar gear has been included at times. Try Kidorable for cute options–check Zulily for great prices!
Summer Fun
- chalk
- jump ropes
- balls
- bubbles
- Sand toys
- inflatable toys
- goggles
- swimsuits
In previous years, grandparents have provided an Easter basket full of summer fun. Figure out what your kids need for summer/beach season & add those to their Easter basket! If you haven’t been on spring break yet, items for your trip could be handy, too!
Sporting Gear
- bike helmet
- knee & elbow pads
- basket
- bell
- tassels/streamers
In order to promote physical activity, a sporting goods themed basket is great, especially for older kids. Include basics to try a new sport like soccer, basketball, baseball, rollerblading, skateboarding or whatever they may enjoy!
Gardening
- seed packets
- gloves
- tools & bag
- plants/bulbs
- watering can
- flower pots (to start seeds)
Kids love to do what you do, so get them kid-sized tools & everything they need to grow something of their own. A frugal option if you save your own seeds. You could even include a certificate for a gardening date if you wanted!
