So there are all sorts of colors going on in the fashion world for spring. But honestly, how often will you do your makeup? A few days a week? Weekends? Here are three low-investment ways to update your look.

Go Orange!

On your kisser. Freaking you out? No worries! First make sure you take care of your red spots with some foundation (and concealer). Second, match the intensity of your skin tone. If you are fair skinned like me, go coral or peach. If you are darker, you can go crazier.

I found two awesome corals last fall so I’m kind of excited to bring them out! I love the Cover Girl ColorSilks in 075- Cruise Collection. I also recently tracked down the Revlon Color Burst Lip Crayons in 235 – Mischievous (Matte) & 040 – Rendezvous (Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain).

And White…

On your tips. Well white-ish, anyway. Milky, saturated whites & lightly tinted whites are where it’s at. Luckily, I got a few of them last year so don’t need to buy any to pull this off. Most of the time, though, you need two (or three, depending on the brand) coats so save it for weekends or dates if you are pinched for time. Julep is awesome about one coat color so check out their milky whites!

Glow, Baby, Glow

The final trend that should be easy to pull off is luminizer. As a reforming makeup junky (it’s so pretty!!!), I do have some Bare Minerals luminizer. The idea is that it’s supposed to make you look like you are sitting in candlelight.

I found this YouTube video that shows how to create a Winter Glow with bronzer & luminizer. Since we’ve been locked inside with 0-20 degree temps all winter in the North, I could use some color to go with my glow!

So, there you have three easy ways to update your make- up for spring. If you don’t have a ton of makeup, check for printable coupons & hit up CVS. I got a ton of free or practically free makeup there last year and some of it I really liked! For just 3-4 new items, you can totally update your look for spring!
