Now that we are kind of in a groove with Itty Bitty, we are starting to think we’d be ready for another whenever it happens. Given our ability to space via breastfeeding, I’m not sure how soon it will happen, but we need to start thinking of baby names for girls pronto!

I mean, we never find out what we are having & it takes at least 6 months to find a girls name we like & agree on. It has to be old and there has to be a saints name in there somewhere, being Catholic and all.

Boys names are easy. We started with this list.  Since the first two are girls we crossed them off :).

1. Bones, Jr. (not really Bones but hubby’s name)
2. Henry
3. Athos
4. Porthos
5. Aramis (yes the 3 musketeers, we are dorky like that).

But we still are looking for a girls name. I am thinking of going with an old Polish name (my heritage) — Elizaveta or Tekla or Anastasia.

What about you? Do you keep a list of possibilities?

I just had this conversation with my kids today. I had picked out the name for my first daughter long before I met my husband and he had picked out the name for our first son long before he met me. Our second daughter was a compilation of names from our Great Grandmothers. We have not been blessed with any more at this time but we do still have a list of possible names for any future blessings.

That’s interesting! We didn’t start thinking until we were pregnant. And we never find out so it’s always one of each 🙂

We never found out what our kid were either. But for some reason we have always had plenty of name.

We do have a short list of both boys and girls names. Infact we decided on the names long before the kids were born. 8 yrs ago before #1 was born we even had name plates made for the rooms (both boy and girl) as we weren’t sure if our #1 was going to be a boy or a girl. It happened to be a boy and we kept the girl name plate for future kids.. I recently took it out and it now is used by our #3 which is a girl.
