It is with some regret that I’m going to withdraw, temporarily, from the Sistahood. After 4 months with a 6 lb loss total, I just feel that this is not the time for me to focus on this like I should.

Between the (hopeful) sale of our house, current status of our business, trying to start homeschool stuff again, possible career change and move, and my new website, there just isn’t time to focus on it like I need to. I still have 2200 sq ft of JUNK that needs to be sorted so that when it’s time to pack & have the yard sale, I don’t need to do it all at once. It’s crunch time for all our balls in the air. Hopefully, when they all fall, I will be able to focus on me.

Change:    -1 lb (6.0 lbs total)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it 100 times.  You cannot lose weight in Michigan for at least 6 months of the year.   I’m dead serious.   I have been drinking pop & eating chocolate, not cooking any differently.   BUT it’s been warmer and I can go for walks, go out to play with the girls, etc.   I have been eating lots of fruit but I don’t think that alone will do it.  Hurray for spring!!!

Change:    -0.5 lb (5.5 lbs total)

 

I couldn’t take it anymore.  We are prepping to move and so I’ve been trying to save money and use up all the food we have in our pantry.   Problem is, there isn’t a lot of good food (i.e. fruits & veggies) there and bits of garbage leftover from parties, etc.

Since you can’t out train bad eating (doesn’t The Biggest Loser show us that all the time?), I finally gave up the boat and added tons of fresh produce to my cart even though I really try to stay in season.  This weekend, I’ve been snacking on watermelon, strawberries, blueberries & raspberries and it counterbalanced all my garbage earlier in the week, to still give me a loss, however small it may be :) .

This week, the goal is to exercise at least once (we will be out of town with family).   If it’s warm we will go on lots of walks.  But I count on nothing :)

I’m actually quite happy with this.   My exercise level has jumped (hello 70 degree weekend!) and my eating jumped with it.   I could have been a little a LOT better with what I chose to eat, but wasn’t.

Hey it’s yo-yo week!

 

This Week (4/4/2011):  160.5

Last Week (3/28/2011):  159.5

Change:    +1 lb (5 lbs total)

 

Considering I didn’t exercise at all (unless you count hauling luggage from parking garage to hotel in Chicago) and I ate all the way there and back (I’m a TOTAL boredom eater).   I about had a heart attack though when I got on the scale this AM — my scale is freaking out and it first told me 166.0.   And my initial thought was I’ve been yo-yo-ing all year, there is NO WAY I gained 7 lbs.   And then I tried it again and it was much more reasonable.

But no travel or other weird things this week, so hopefully things will go better.
