October is a great month for Catholic feasts, saint days and solemnities.  This month is the month of the Holy Rosary and is a great time to start saying one regularly if you don’t already.

Living the Liturgical Year - October 2015

There are a few different common saints, feast days and solemnities in October.  Rather than overwhelm you with a giant list, here are a few:

October 2 (today!) – The Guardian Angels
October 4 – St. Francis of Assisi
October 5 – St. Faustina (Divine Mercy)
October 7 – Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary
October 17 – St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (Sacred Heart)
October 22 – St. Pope John Paul II
October 31 – All Hallows Eve — get ready for All Saints Day!
