I’ve really been enjoying celebrating the liturgical year through our saint picture book club, but I’ve been so inspired by the blog Catholic All Year, that I really want to do more.  Since I have to mull things over a while to make them happen, I decided to come up with a VERY limited list of common and important options to work in some new traditions.

Living the Liturgical Year - June

Because June seems to be have a good number of feasts, solemnities and Marian feast days, I haven’t added any “extra” saints days.  Also, if you are interested, the focus for June is the Sacred Heart.

6/7 (movable) – Corpus Christi
6/12 (movable) – Sacred Heart of Jesus
6/13 (movable) –  The Immaculate Heart of the BVM

6/24 – Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist
6/27 – Our Lady of Perpetual Help

6/29 – Saints Peter & Paul

I know I have a few books to go along with several of these and pinterest is always full of ideas.

Do you have any special traditions for the liturgical year in June?
