god bless our christmas review giveaway

For this months Tommy Mommy selection, our family received a copy of God Bless Our Christmas. This delightfully written padded board book depicts winter animals getting ready for Christmas. Told in rhyme, snow foxes, bunnies, polar bears and more are sledding, getting Christmas trees, drinking cocoa and more! The illustrations are beautifully done in mostly blue & white.

God Bless Our Christmas is not a Christ-centered Christmas book although it does mention that everyone is getting ready to celebrate his birth. This is more of a story about God blessing our winter and Christmastime family traditions. Each spread shows a loving family celebrating & enjoying each others company.

God Bless Our Christmas is a beautiful book celebrating family culture and traditions for your little ones. The book is intended for ages 1 to 4. While my 1-1/2 year old wasn’t interested yet, the 4 year old was, especially as we talked up all the activities the families did and asked which things she liked doing best and what she remembered OUR family doing :).

My oldest son-celebrating the 12 days of Christmas, my middle son-decorating the house, my youngest son-St. Nicholas day (I think that is it is today and he’s still on a sugar high) and my daughter is only 18 months-she does seem to be enjoying all the “new” decorations.

Our favorite tradition is making handprint ornaments.

My son is only 16 months old, but he already enjoys his Fisher Price Little People Nativity. I think it will be a tradition to play with it

We go to our church’s candelight christmas eve service, drive around and look at the lights and they love playing in the snow.
