With any “trend,” it’s best to limit spending to 25% of your budget. With that said, here are 3 spring fashion trends that best fit into a stay at home mom’s wardrobe. With some wise shopping, you can look ‘up to date’ by just adding a few pieces to your closet or pulling a few old ones out.
Pastels are all the rage with pink, peach & green being at the top of the charts. If your wardrobe is lacking in pastels, pick an item or two that would work with everything else in your closet. Maybe a shirt, skirt or handbag.
I love mules and I’m tickled that they are in this season. With a new baby, any shoe that needs more work than sliding it on is for the dogs, ya know? I love them for church but a fun & funky pair could really dress up a skirt or pair of skinny jeans.
3. D’Orsay Flats
These would be flats that have the middles essentially, well, cut out. The toe is there and the heel is there and the rest is open. They have pointed toes and add polish to almost any casual outfit. And since they are flats, you can chase down the toddler running through the parking lot. Not that I would know anything about that. Moving on…
Bonus – Perforated Leather
This is a little cutting edge & most moms I know wouldn’t bother, but I love it! Perforated leather in neutrals is classy and edgy all at the same time. A fun pair of shoes, a purse or even a belt would be fun and inexpensive ways to add a little fun to your look.
Are you budgeting to add any fun pieces to your closet this season?
