This month, I received a copy of the Precious Moments Little Book of Bedtime from Thomas Nelson. This sort-of board book with a padded cover is intended for ages 1-4, which is spot on, in my opinion. The pages are not of the full on board book, super hard to bed variety, but more of the hard, yet-thinner variety. Slightly more board than page allowing more pages per book.
Each of the Little Bedtime Book’s pages has a poem and/or prayer plus a bible verse or quote with colorful pages and the sweet Precious Moments illustrations we have all grown up with & love. This book would have been a great addition to our rotation when we are in that period of attempting to start the bedtime routine (18-36 months) and do more than just nurse to sleep :). The poems are very appealing to my 3 year old who asks for “her” bedtime devotion and hands me this book at night. She loves to look at pictures and I’m glad to have a bedtime book for super little ones about God. And that this one has a little poetry? Even better.
The Precious Moments Little Bedtime Book would make a lovely little christening gift. Being that Easter is coming up, it would be a great Easter basket item or stocking stuffer at Christmas, too. My 3 year old daughter is really enjoying it!
