This month, I received two new devotionals for my girls. The first one I’m going to share and giveaway is Every Day a Blessing: A Year of God’s Love. Intended for children ages 6-10, I would say that it’s pretty accurate. We use it every day before our Morning Prayer and my 3 year old doesn’t get much, but it sometimes leads to discussions with my almost 6 year old :).

The days are not numbered. Instead, there are devotions for each weekday, plus one on the weekend. Because it is intended for older readers, there are less pictures than in other devotionals we have. That doesn’t stop my 3 year old from browsing through it and losing our place :). Each devotion has a scripture verse and either a way to reflect on how God has blessed you or on a way you can be a blessing to others. It’s a great way to teach servant leadership without being preachy about it.

Every Day a Blessing would be an excellent gift for any child in your life. Perhaps in their Easter basket? The pages are really quality…very thick and sturdy, it should stand up to daily wear pretty well. It even has a ribbon to mark your page.

Good luck!

Be sure to come back at the end of the month to read about (and enter to win) God’s Little Princess Bedtime Devotional. Subscribe to make sure you don’t miss it!

My son made Valentine cards and passed them around to our neighbors.

We use a part of their allowance to buy canned goods for the local food pantry once a month.
