2014-goal-resources

Last week, I shared my 2014 goals.   Since I am a voracious reader, I always have books and other resources to help me in my goals.   Here is what I plan to use this year.  The books DO have affiliate links — thanks for your support if you decide to purchase using one of them :).

1. Spiritual

This year, I’m going to mostly leave it to God by which Catholic books I have the opportunity to review.

From my own collection, I’d like to read:
– See How She Helps Us
Power of a Praying Wife
Power of a Praying Mom

2. Self

My biggest resources for taking care of myself are mostly clean-eating & paleo-ish blogs, as well as those sharing about alternative health & essential oils.

Here are blogs I currently follow that fit that bill:

once a month mom paleo recipes
wellness mama
modern alternative mama sites (health, kitchen, mama)

3. Marriage

Due to time & practicality, my biggest resources here are from the same two sources as last year

The Dating Divas ebooks & website
Marriage Flight Plan

4. Parenting

Oh boy. Sigh. I’m so bad at this. I am terrible about being the type of parent I’d like to be. I’d like to read and implement changes from at least one of these next year:

Other resources are those that escape the great data purge of 2013 (stay tuned!) and are sent by God :).

4b. Homeschooling

I don’t really have any homeschooling books that I want to read this year–we are going to discover what works for us on a practical level.

5. Homemaking

For this, I would seriously just like to get back on a schedule and teach my kids how to help. If you have any resources, I’d love recommendations! If is an ebook that’s been in any bundle ever, I probably have it & just need to do it!

I will work through 100 Days to a New Year as well as a new book I received for review, Blessed By Less.

5b. Finances

I would also like to get in hardcore saving mode & quit hemorrhaging money. There are some goals i really want to meet this year. I think the best way to accomplish these are to use the 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life ebook. There isn’t a lot of discipline in these parts!

5c. Work

For work, I plan to read Epic Content Marketing and make good use of my Marketing Profs membership.

5d. Writing

For my blogging, I will be reading Food Blogging for Dummies to improve my pictures.

I would also like to find more apps for editing photos, and more specifically, making good header images, on my iPhone. Because I do MOST of my writing & photo editing on my phone.

I will be using several books and seminars from Writers Digest:

What about you? How are you going to learn more & do better in 2014?
