Earlier this week, I was brainstorming different ideas for my 31 Days posts for this October.  Since October is going to be ridiculously busy (Allume, here I come!), I wanted to get my post ideas put together so I could schedule them this month.   Six ideas short of 31 days, I asked hubby for his opinion on what I do to show I love him.   I was expecting something like ironing his shirts (because I don’t do it often) or something like that, but that’s not what he told me it was.   You know what it was?

Trust.

He knew I loved him because a few weeks ago, I went sailing with him on our “new” sailboat.   I trusted that he could sail it and he would keep me safe.  Did I mention that I hate water?  I can’t swim?    I’m always envisioning worst-case scenerios?   But I trusted him.  Not only to buy the boat, but to go out with him and even help with cleaning, outfitting the gear, training the little’s, etc.

Do you trust your husband?    If you have special extenuating circumstances, that’s one thing, but for the rest of us, do you?    Why not?   Are you afraid to let go, to lose control?   What have you got to lose?    The next time your husband suggests something, try trust.  Let go and jump.   Trust in him.

If it doesn’t go well, keep it shut!  If it does, you will have made a deposit in his man account so big that neither of you may realize it right now.   Make a few like that and you could be surprised at the leader your man can be and the changes he can make, when he knows that you trust him.

So this week, look for an opportunity to serve your spouse & trust in him.

Do you have a story of trust?
