5. The Real Skinny on Losing It by Michelle McKinney Hammond

This was an entertaining read.   I liked her tone of voice & identified greatly with her food issues.  There were somethings I disliked, though.   You can read my full review for more info.

6. Rhythm of Secrets by Patti Lacy

I had a hard time reading about some of the trials the main character went through, but the end made it all worthwhile.   I wrote a full review earlier this month.

7. A Trail of Ink by Mel Starr

I was surprised as to the style of writing when I first opened it up, but really liked this book.   Stay tuned for a full review ;).

Rhythm of Secrets sounds intriguing but I’m not sure I’m up for the disturbing parts right now – I’ll keep that one in mind. Interesting list!

The Real Skinny on Losing It sounds like it would be interested, except that I KNOW I couldn’t survive a fasting… not the best way for me to be a good mom, that’s for sure. 🙂

That’s kind of where she lost me. I’m nursing. Or pregnant if I’m not nursing. Fasting=no go. I’m sure a lot of other women my age are in the same boat.

You’ve got me intrigued with your teaser for A Trail of Ink! (And mentioned yet another diet book I haven’t read–there is definitely a diet book trend on the nightstands this month!)

A Trail of Ink was a great book. I’m going to try to find the others (this was 3rd in a series).

A Trail of Ink sounds interesting. I have shied away from a lot of mystery novels because of the violence usually portrayed. Is this one more of an intellectual mystery?

It is. There is some typical, old-school, man-on-man violence — like fights, getting tied up, etc. — but its all kind of glossed over. even the one scene where they find someone dead is not gruesome in description. I really enjoyed it!
