First up, a sequel to another book I looked at, It’s the Bear by Jez Alborough. We found this as  a board book at the library.  It has the same rhyming text and beautiful pictures.  I think it’d be more impressive as a paperback book, but it’s a very cute story about the bear & his teddy crashing Eddie & Teddy’s picnic. Very Cute!

Let’s Eat! is Lil Bit”s favorite.   Well, that and the next one.  It’s a cute little rhyming story of Cookie Monster throwing a dinner party.  The pictures are big and it has just enough text to keep little ones occupied.   We read it multiple time a day.  It’s not literature, but it’s cute :).

Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans is Lil Bit’s other favorite from the last few trips.  It’s obvious why classics are classics.  The story of the 12 little girls in Paris is wonderful and the pictures make me want to go there.  A keeper, for sure!

This one is Mommy’s pick.  I LOVED The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton. Again, classics are classics for a reason.  It’s a cute little story about a house in the country grow up around her and then is found by a great-great granddaughter and is moved back out to the country.  I wanted to live in the little house!   I’m going to have to buy this one, too.

The bear book looks super cute! We’ve been pulling bear-related books off of our home bookshelves this past week and that one looks worthy of a read!

    Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE The Little House–we’ve been “rowing” Katy and the Big Snow the past couple of weeks for our Five in a Row book. I really want to add Virginia Lee Burton’s books to our collection, and especially The Little House. It’s my favorite.

Your other picks looks good, too! Thanks for playing!
