Laundry is such a mundane thing.  You HAVE to do it unless you are infinitely rich & can just buy new clothes every day.   And it’s not just washing it, you have to dry it or hang it, fold it, put it away and you have to be home all day or spend HOURS at the laundromat to do it!

But the Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets make the job a little easier.   It has the detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheet all built into one handy sheet.  You simply put a sheet inside the washer and transfer it to the dryer.

Purex sent me 2 boxes at the beginning of the Summer (via MomSelect) and I finally used my box up.

First, the cons.  Well, con.   I only found one quasi-bad thing about it.  They sent the Spring Oasis scent and it was SUPER strong.  I could smell it before I opened the package.   It was nice, just super strong.   It was, however, easy to determine which piles were clean and which were not when I *ahem* got behind on laundry and lost track of it :).  They DO have a lighter scent called Pure & Clean, which might be more up our alley.

The Pros:

  • no spills.
  • fewer products to purchase.
  • no competing scents between your detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets!
  • less waste!
  • You never use too much!    It’s SOOOO easy to over pour the liquid–especially in a front loader.

A few other things I noticed (neither good nor bad, just stuff I noticed):

  • they feel kind of gross if you have texture issues.   Kind of weird sticky slimy 🙂   I always grab them by the top which has nothing on it.
  • you can’t use them to wash cloth diapers or microfiber cloths because it has fabric softener in it which screws up the absorbancy of them.   Use liquid detergent for those things.

In addition, Purex has partnered with Kiva to help support women Entrepreneurs around the world by providing micro loans.  You simply go the the Purex Changes Lives website to pick a woman’s project to support.   Enter the UPC code from the 3-in-1 laundry sheet package and she gets $1 for her micro loan.

You can win a starter kit of Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets by leaving me a comment telling me what you would do if you won $500 dollars (required).

I would use the money right away towards my medical bill so I would never see it but the reward of less stress would be worth it.

If I won $500, I would put it in my emergency fund. (It should go toward bills, but I would rather save it. I know…goes against Dave Ramsey.)

Man. With $500 I would dig out of my late bill hole. If everything was caught up I would be doing OK! I love these sheets, btw…
