I was so excited about my deals from Wednesday, that I had to insert this in the middle of my other posts.
My first good take was in CVS. I’m kind of excited to be in CVS country. We don’t have those up north.
CVS was running a BOGO deal on Revlon cosmetics and I had 2 – $2.00 off coupons. Because the prices of things are so high here, the cheapest thing I could find was nail polish at $4.39 each. After coupons, I got the nail polish for $0.19 each.
I also got a package of 20 ct maxi pads w/16 pantyliners on sale for 3.27 and I used a $1.00 coupon, plus got back $2.00 ECB’s.
Total Value (regular price) – $13.77
Total Value (sale price) – $7.66
Coupons Used – $5.00
Out of Pocket – $2.66 (not including tax)
ECB’s rec’d -$2.00
Total cost of transaction – $0.66 (not including tax)
Wow, that looks a lot better than I originally thought! I also found out that the K-mart was doing Super TRIPLE coupons (up to and including 75 cents)!! Armed with my <75 cent coupons that I thought I might use, I went in. Here’s what I got:
I got a 64 pack of lightdays pantyliners, a box of 25 storage bags, 3 small ziplock containers and an 80 count package of wipes.
The pantyliners were $3.89 and I had a $0.75 coupon on that, so once that was tripled, the final cost was only $1.64.
The ziploc stuff was on sale 2/$5.00. The baggies were $2.50 and I had a $0.40 coupon. Final cost – $1.30. The containers were also $2.50 and I had a $0.55 coupon for those. After tripling, final cost was $0.85.
Lastly were the pampers wipes–i got the last box. They were $2.99 and I had a $0.50 coupon. Final cost, $1.49.
Total value (sale priced) – $11.88
Coupon Value (original) -$2.20
Coupon Value Bonus – $4.40
Total OOP – $5.28 (not including tax)
Not as good as some people I’ve seen, but better than I’ve ever done and all on stuff I needed. I was pretty excited to join CVS country. I’ll post all my deals when I find more like this!
