Proverbs 31 has been a favorite area of study ever since I stumbled upon it a few years ago. I’ve been reading & collecting books books on the topic ever since. Wandering through the area Christian bookstore, I stumbled on a new release on the topic: Becoming The Woman God Wants Me To Be.  It’s a 90 day retreat taking you through memorizing the verses, a daily prayer, a reflection, a bible reading, and a practical application task.

I skimmed through the book to determine if I wanted to actually do the retreat or just read it. I decided to go through it, but I’ve been stuck on Day 1 for three weeks. Mission statements never come easy to me; I always have to really think & mull them over until it hits me.

Last night the last piece fell into place. My personal Proverbs 31 Mission Statement is:

I will use my passion & organization to inspire & teach other women how to embrace the gifts God gave to them to bring more children into the world safely and easily.

I don’t know that I’ve mentioned it yet, but I’ve had my application approved to become a Bradley Birth instructor. We go for training in Chicago mid-September. I’m SOOOOOOOO excited!

Somewhere down the line DH & I will probably learn to be an NFP teaching couple, too, but that hasn’t fallen into place for us yet. Maybe when Al doesn’t have to work quite so hard.

Anyway, that is my newest project. If you’d like to join me, drop me a line!
